My 3 killer Winter-fruits

Cinnamons & Cardamoms scents describe for me a feeling of a beautiful winter. Those two scents are connected with Christmas – sweets, White snow & of course cold snowmen. To stay healthy in protecting yourself from the cold & vitamin deficiency fruits are just mandatory!

Enjoy the taste of every fruit in every word:

1. Grapefruits

Little bitter, little sweet Grapefruit it is what you need.

I just love that fruit in winter. Why? It is usable in so many dishes and in so many ways.

For example Grapefruits are for an avocado-mice salad. Their taste is not the only amazing thing, but also their pretty light pinkt-red colour. Kids will love to eat a salad that looks like a Candy-mixture due to its variety of colours.

Moreover, I use Grapefruit in tea & coffee. Next time you like to drink something special cut two slices of a grapefruit. Put the first slice just into the cup and squeeze the other one into it. The aroma will be relaxing for your mind. I like the mix of good quality Matcha – Tea and grapefruit.

So the next time you have to study or to work try some tea with grapefruit.

Grapefruits will provide you Vitamin A, B1, B2, C and other important nutrients like Calcium and Magnesium.

Enough Vitamins will help you to stay healthy & vital during the Cold and grey winter times.

2. Dates

Dates are one of my favorite fruits in every season of the year. They can be used as a replacement of chocolate and sweets with unhealthy sugars. Maybe the next time you can use dates instead of your cookies as a healthy alternative. It will be beneficial for your health and your weight 😉

Furthermore, dates are rich in fiber, Vitamin B6, Magnesium and other important nutrients. Fiber is very useful for your digestive system and overall health. Dates are also rich in Anti-oxidants which helps to fight against inflammations and reduces the risk of several diseases.

In ancient Arabia dates were sometimes the only source of food for people who couldn’t afford more. Sometimes they had to eat dates for several day. Maybe the reason why they survived for several days with only eating dates was also due to its richness in nutrients that gives you a energy boost and increases your energy stamina.

The holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once said that a household without dates has no food.

3. Coconut

Another great fruit is Coconut. The fruit can be used for so many things and in so many ways. It is surely a superfood!!

Thanks to the Globalization Coconuts are available in every country during the whole year. There are plenty products of Coconut so it can be used in one way or the other.

Giving an example of Coconut oil. You can use it for cooking, for your bodies skin or your hair.

If you want to live like a monk you can also use coconut oil in your coffee. It provides an extra boost of energy.

Coconut milk is perfect to use in making sauces like indian or thai Curry with rice. Another option for people who cannot tolerate cow-milk or who prefer a vegan dietis the use of Coconut milk as a substitute.

Especially in Western Countries cow-milk is not like  how it should be. Farmers use way too much of hormones and antibiotics for a fast development of their cows. This is why the milk of those cows is not the same as from a farmer who use natural ways of farming.

Don’t forget coconut water! What is more refreshing than a fresh sliced Coconut Water Cocktail by mother nature?  During my vacations in countries like Oman, Pakistan or UAE coconut water was worth it to travel those countries and having a Coconut street-salesman on every corner 😉

Coconut you look amazing with your white soul and your brown shell!!

Enjoy your fruits in 2019’s winter & stay healthy!!!
